A regional training on the integrated monitoring of the Mediterranean Biodiversity is organized from 18 to 23 July 2016 at the Kuriat Islands by RAC/SPA and the "Notre Grand Bleu" Association.

This event was attended by the Tunisian Minister of the Environment and Sustainable Development who has announced the following future decisions:

•  Implementation of the National council of the Marine and Coastal Protected Areas
•  Establishment of the Kuriat MPA in 2017
•  Starting a study for the implementation of a research center, in the Kuriat Islands, dedicated to the Marine and Coastal biodiversity.
